Wet Hands, Sun Glare, Seven More Pools. Just Talk.
Filling out a completion form on a phone is the worst part of a hot day. Your hands are wet, the sun washes out the screen, and there are still pools on the route. Pool Founder now lets your technicians complete a job by voice. They describe the visit out loud, and AI fills in the form for them.
This shipped to all companies on July 7, so it is already live in the technician app. There is nothing to turn on and nothing to install.
How Voice Fill Works
At the top of the Complete Job screen in the technician app there is a Fill out by voice card. The tech taps it, describes the visit ("skimmed and brushed, pH 7.6, chlorine a little low, added two tabs"), and taps Done. Pool Founder transcribes the recording and maps what was said onto the completion form.
The AI fills in the parts of the form it recognizes:
- The task checklist for the job
- Water chemistry readings
- Chemicals used, drawn from your company chemical catalog
- Technician notes
Voice fill needs an internet connection to transcribe and map the recording. When the tech is offline, the card shows "Unavailable offline" and they fill the form in by hand as usual.
The Tech Reviews What the AI Filled Before Submitting
Voice fill only fills empty fields. It never overwrites anything the technician already entered by hand, so a reading typed in carefully is safe even if voice fill runs afterward. Anything the AI cannot confidently match to a field is dropped into the notes instead, so nothing the tech said gets lost.
After the form is filled, the card tells the tech how many items were filled and to review before completing. The technician checks the readings and the checklist, corrects anything that came through wrong, and then scrolls to the bottom of the form to tap Mark Complete. The AI does the typing; the technician stays in control of what actually gets submitted.
For just the notes field, there is also a Dictate button that drops a plain transcript of what the tech says straight into the notes, with no mapping.
Every Recording Is Kept
Each voice recording is saved with the completion, both the audio and the transcript. Voice fill recordings and notes dictations are all kept.
On the web dashboard, open a completed job from Completed Stops and a Voice Recordings section appears below Notes. Each recording has an audio player and the transcript of what the technician said. That gives the office a record it can go back to when a reading looks off, a customer disputes what was done, or a new tech is being trained on how a good completion sounds.

Do technicians have to use voice to complete a job?
No. Voice fill is optional. The Fill out by voice card sits at the top of the Complete Job screen, but the form still works exactly as before if a tech would rather type. Voice is there for the days when tapping through a form is a pain.
What if the AI fills something in wrong?
Voice fill only writes to empty fields and never overwrites a value the technician typed by hand. Anything it cannot match to a field goes into the notes instead. The tech always reviews the filled-in form and can correct anything before tapping Mark Complete, so nothing is submitted without a human check.
Does voice completion work without a signal?
No. Transcribing and mapping the recording happens on the server, so voice fill needs an internet connection. When the tech is offline the card shows Unavailable offline and they complete the job by hand. Once back in coverage, voice fill is available again on the next stop.
Can the office listen to what the technician said?
Yes. Open the completion from Completed Stops on the web dashboard and look for the Voice Recordings section below Notes. Every recording tied to that completion has an audio player and its transcript, so the office can hear exactly what was described in the field.
Which companies have voice completion?
All of them, as of July 7. It is live in the technician app with nothing to enable and nothing to update.
