Corey started skimming pools and balancing chemicals in Kennesaw, Georgia at 16. He wasn't planning on making a career out of it — but 15 years later, he'd built a deep knowledge of the whole trade. Regular maintenance, chemical balancing, equipment repairs, and full pump room builds from scratch. He worked his way up at DC Pool Services and got good at the actual job. The business side, though? That was always the headache.
The route sheets were a mess. Invoicing took forever. Tracking what chemicals were used at which pool meant digging through notes. Every software Corey tried either cost too much, was confusing, or just wasn't built for how pool service actually works. So he kept cobbling things together and making it work.
Then Zach moved to Georgia.
Corey was the pool tech servicing Zach's pool. Zach had spent over a decade building startups — real technical products, the kind that ship and scale. Over months of service visits and conversations at the equipment pad, the same topic kept coming up: what was broken in the pool industry, and why didn't anyone fix it?
The answer wasn't that the problem was too hard. It was that nobody building software for pool companies had ever actually run one. They didn't know the difference between a DE filter and a cartridge. They'd never had to explain a chemical reading to a homeowner. They didn't understand that your schedule doesn't survive contact with Monday morning.
In 2025, Corey and Zach decided to build it themselves. Pool Founder is what happens when 15 years of field experience meets 10 years of software expertise. It's not a generic field service platform with pool words added. It's software designed specifically for the way pool companies actually operate.

Zach brings the engineering depth to turn Corey's field experience into software that's genuinely delightful to use — not just functional.

There are a lot of apps being thrown at pool service companies right now. Most of them are built by people who've never set foot near a pool. They look slick in a demo and fall apart on the route.
We're building something different: software that earns its keep every single day.
