Pool Founder started with 15 years of actual pool service experience and a simple question: what would software look like if it was built by someone who'd actually run a route?

Corey got his start in pool service at 16, learning the trade alongside his brother David at DC Pool Services in Kennesaw, Georgia. David gave him his first real shot in the industry, and over the years Corey built a deep knowledge of the whole trade there. Regular maintenance, chemical balancing, equipment repairs, and full pump room builds from scratch. He learned the craft inside and out. But as his career grew, so did his ideas about how the software side of the industry could be better.
Along the way, Corey noticed something: the software available to pool companies never quite matched how the work actually happens. He started thinking about what a tool built specifically for pool pros would look like — one that actually fit the rhythm of a real day on the route.
Then Zach moved to Georgia.
Corey was the pool tech servicing Zach's pool. Zach had spent over a decade building startups — real technical products, the kind that ship and scale. Over months of service visits and conversations at the equipment pad, the same topic kept coming up: what would purpose-built software for pool companies actually look like?
They realized the best way to solve it was to build it themselves. Corey knew exactly what mattered in the field: the difference between a DE filter and a cartridge, how to explain a chemical reading to a homeowner, and that your schedule doesn't survive contact with Monday morning. Zach knew how to turn that into software people actually want to use.
In 2025, they made it official. Pool Founder is what happens when 15 years of field experience meets 10 years of software expertise. It's designed specifically for the way pool companies actually operate.
