The Right Frequency for Every Type of Service
Pool Founder now supports six scheduling frequencies: weekly, biweekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, and annually. The three new frequencies make it easy to schedule periodic services like filter deep cleans, equipment inspections, acid washes, and seasonal opening and closing visits without creating work orders or using calendar reminders outside the system.
New Frequencies
In addition to the existing weekly, biweekly, and monthly frequencies, maintenance jobs can now be set to:
- Quarterly: Every ~91 days. Useful for filter cleanings, salt cell inspections, and equipment checkups
- Semi-annually: Every ~182 days. Common for pool opening/closing services in seasonal markets, or deep equipment maintenance
- Annually: Every ~365 days. Ideal for annual inspections, certifications, or one-per-year maintenance tasks
How It Works
When creating or editing a maintenance job, select the new frequency from the scheduling options. The job appears on the assigned technician's route at the correct interval. The route schedule, technician mobile app, and customer portal all reflect the frequency accurately.
The scheduling calendar shows when the next occurrence falls and calculates route impact data for those days, so you can verify the job fits into the technician's workload on the days it will actually appear.
Quarterly, semi-annual, and annual jobs count toward route capacity and profitability calculations just like weekly and biweekly jobs. The per-visit rate is used for revenue projections at the correct frequency.
Common Use Cases
Here are some services that fit the new frequencies well:
| Service | Suggested Frequency |
|---|---|
| DE or cartridge filter deep clean | Quarterly |
| Salt cell cleaning and inspection | Quarterly |
| Heater inspection and tune-up | Semi-annually |
| Pool opening (spring) and closing (fall) | Semi-annually |
| Annual equipment inspection | Annually |
| Health department compliance check | Annually |
| Tile and surface deep clean | Quarterly or semi-annually |

Can I mix frequencies on the same route?
Yes. A route can have jobs with different frequencies. A technician might have weekly maintenance jobs, a quarterly filter clean, and an annual inspection all on the same route. Each job appears on the route only on the days it is due.
How do quarterly and annual jobs appear on the route schedule?
The route schedule grid shows all jobs that are due on each day. Quarterly and annual jobs appear on their scheduled days just like weekly jobs. On days when they are not due, they do not appear on the route.
Do the new frequencies work with the customer portal?
Yes. Customers see upcoming quarterly, semi-annual, and annual visits on their portal dashboard alongside their regular service visits.
