No More Hunting Through Your Inbox
Signing into Pool Founder no longer means switching to your email app, waiting for a magic link, and hoping it opens in the right browser. The web dashboard and the customer portal now verify you with a 6-digit code you type right on the sign-in screen. The old link-in-your-email dance is gone.
On top of that, the dashboard now supports Google sign-in, and the login screen remembers how you got in last time. Getting into your account is faster for you, and getting into the portal is faster for your customers.
Sign In to the Dashboard in Seconds
Enter your email on the sign-in page and we send a 6-digit code straight to your inbox. Type it into the six boxes on the same screen and you are in. The code auto-submits the moment you enter the sixth digit, so most sign-ins take a single glance at your email and a quick tap.
Prefer one click? Continue with Google signs you straight into your dashboard using your existing Google account. Either way, there is no password to create, remember, or reset.
- Continue with Google — one click into the dashboard, no code needed
- Continue with email — a 6-digit code that auto-submits when you finish typing
- Resend the code from the same screen if it does not arrive right away
- No passwords anywhere, so nothing to forget or leak
The login screen shows a green Last used badge on whichever method you signed in with last, Google or email, so returning users never have to stop and think about which button to press.
The Same Simpler Sign-In for Your Customers
Your customers get the exact same upgrade in the customer portal. Instead of clicking a magic link, a customer enters the email address on their account and receives a 6-digit code. They type the code on the same page and land in their portal to view service history and invoices. No password, no link to hunt down.
This matters most on phones. A large share of customers open your links from a text message or a social app, where tapping an email link can bounce them between apps and break the flow entirely. Keeping everything on one screen means fewer confused customers calling your office asking why they cannot log in.
Why a Code Instead of a Link
Magic links have a quiet failure mode: they only work if the link opens in the same browser you started in. Open your sign-in email inside an in-app browser, and the link often reopens somewhere else, drops your session, and dead-ends you on a confused screen. A 6-digit code sidesteps all of that because you never leave the page you started on.
Existing invitation emails and links sent before this change still work, so nothing you sent earlier breaks. New sign-ins simply use the faster code flow.

Do I still need a password?
No. Neither the dashboard nor the customer portal uses a password. You sign in with a one-time 6-digit code emailed to you, and on the dashboard you can also sign in with Google. There is nothing to create, remember, or reset.
What happened to the old email sign-in links?
Magic links are gone from the normal sign-in flow. Enter your email and we send a 6-digit code that you type on the same screen. Older links from emails sent before the change, and team invitation emails, still resolve as before.
Can my customers use Google to sign in to the portal?
Google sign-in is available on the business dashboard for you and your team. The customer portal uses the 6-digit email code: a customer enters the email on their account and types the code we send them.
What is the Last used badge?
On the dashboard sign-in screen, a small green Last used badge marks whichever method you used last time, Google or email. It is a convenience for returning users so they can pick their usual method without thinking about it.
