One Search Box for Your Entire Business
The Pool Founder command palette (Cmd+K or Ctrl+K) now includes live global search. In addition to navigating to pages and actions, you can now search across customers, employees, jobs, invoices, quotes, and service locations, all from the same search box. Results appear as you type with no page navigation required.
What You Can Search
Global search covers six entity types across your entire account:
- Customers: Search by name to jump directly to a customer profile
- Employees: Find technicians and staff by name
- Jobs: Search maintenance jobs and work orders by name
- Invoices: Look up invoices by number or customer name
- Quotes: Find quotes by name or quote number
- Service Locations: Search by address
Results are grouped by type and show a title and subtitle for quick identification. Click any result or press Enter to navigate directly to that record.
How It Works
Press Cmd+K from any page. Start typing at least two characters and search results appear below the page navigation results. The search is debounced (300ms delay) so results load smoothly without hammering the server on every keystroke.
Use arrow keys to move between results (both page links and search results are in the same navigable list) and press Enter to go. Archived records are automatically filtered out so you only see active data.
Global search returns up to 5 results per entity type (30 total). For deeper searches within a specific type, navigate to that page and use its dedicated filters.

Is this different from the existing command palette?
The command palette still works exactly as before for navigating to pages and triggering actions. Global search is an addition: when you type two or more characters, live search results from your data appear alongside the page navigation results.
Can I search by phone number or email?
Global search currently matches against names, addresses, invoice numbers, and quote numbers. Phone and email search may be added in a future update.
Does search include archived customers or jobs?
No. Archived records are filtered out of search results so you only see active data.
