Catch Every Unserviced Pool
Some days a route does not finish. A technician runs long, calls in sick partway through, or a run of green pools eats the afternoon. Whatever the reason, when a route closes with stops left over, those pools still need service and it is easy for one to slip through the cracks.
Pool Founder now surfaces the missed stops on any closed route and lets you move them to another day or technician in a few clicks. No more hunting through the schedule to figure out which pools got skipped, and no more finding out a week later when the customer calls.
When a Route Ends with Stops Left Over
When a route closes without every stop finished, the closed route shows an amber banner telling you how many stops were not completed: for example, "3 stops were not completed on this route." The banner appears in two places, so you see it wherever you happen to be looking.
- On the route's instance page for that day, which you can open directly from the notification you receive when a route is left running and closed automatically.
- On the Route Schedule, when you open that route's day view.
The banner shows up whether the route was closed automatically at the end of the day, ended early by the technician, or completed with some stops marked skipped. In every case the leftover pools are pulled into one clear list instead of sitting invisible on a route that has already wrapped.
The reschedule banner appears for anyone on your team with permission to transfer stops between technicians. If you can move jobs around the schedule, you can rescue missed stops.
Reschedule in a Few Clicks
Click Reschedule Stops on the banner and the Reschedule Missed Stops dialog opens with the work already teed up. Every missed stop is listed and pre-selected, so the common case is to simply confirm. Click any row to deselect a stop you do not want to move.
From there you choose two things:
- Who should catch the stops up. The technician picker defaults to the same technician who was assigned the original route, marked "(same tech)", but you can hand them to anyone.
- When the stops should land. The date defaults to that technician's next route day, so the pools slot back into their normal rhythm. You can open the calendar and pick any upcoming date instead.
Below the date, the dialog tells you exactly where the stops will go: either it adds them to an existing route for that day, or it notes that a new route will be created if the technician has none. Press the button at the bottom, which always shows the exact count you are about to move (for example, "Reschedule 3 stops"), and the missed pools are moved onto the chosen day.
A One-Day Move, Not a Schedule Change
Rescheduling a missed stop moves it for that one date only. Your weekly route schedule is never touched, so the pool stays on its regular day going forward. This is a catch-up move, not a permanent reassignment.
Once a stop has been rescheduled, it is stamped with a "Rescheduled to {date}" badge on the original closed route and will not be offered again, so you cannot accidentally move the same pool twice. If the destination route happens to already be running when you reschedule, the stops show up on that technician's phone right away.
Because the move runs through the same transfer machinery that powers job transfers, the rescheduled pool carries its tasks and details with it. The technician who picks it up sees the same job they would have on any normal day.

Where do I find stops that were missed on a route?
A closed route with unfinished stops shows an amber banner that reads "N stops were not completed on this route." You will see it on the route's instance page for that day and on the Route Schedule when you open that route's day view. Click Reschedule Stops on the banner to move the missed pools.
Does rescheduling a missed stop change my weekly route?
No. Rescheduling moves the stop for that single date only. The weekly route schedule stays exactly as it was, so the pool remains on its normal day and technician going forward.
Can I send the missed stops to a different technician?
Yes. The dialog defaults to the same technician who had the original route, but you can pick anyone from the technician list. The date then defaults to that technician's next route day, which you can override with the calendar.
What stops does the reschedule banner include?
It includes stops on the closed route that were never completed and have not already been moved elsewhere. Stops that were transferred to another technician, or that you have already rescheduled, are left out so you are never offered the same pool twice.
