The analytics dashboard breaks profitability down across five dimensions:

Driving Labor and Mileage Costs
Driving between stops is a real cost that most pool companies ignore. Pool Founder now tracks driving labor, the time and pay your technician spends behind the wheel, and includes it in profitability calculations. Combined with mileage tracking, you see the true cost of servicing each stop on a route.
When GPS data is unavailable, the system uses a distance fallback mechanism based on address geocoding so you still get accurate mileage estimates. Admins can also edit mileage history and flag low-odometer readings.
Stripe Fee Integration
If you collect payments through Stripe, processing fees eat into your margin on every transaction. Pool Founder now pulls actual Stripe fee data into profitability calculations so your net profit numbers reflect what you actually take home, not just what the invoice says.
How to Use It
Navigate to Analytics > Profitability from your dashboard sidebar or use Cmd+K. The default view shows a summary with your most and least profitable jobs, routes, and technicians. Click into any row to see the full cost breakdown.
For accurate profitability data, make sure employee pay rates are set under each employee profile and that your technicians are logging time on routes.

How is driving labor calculated?
Driving labor is calculated by multiplying the technician's hourly pay rate by the time spent driving between stops on a route. This is tracked separately from on-site labor so you can see both costs independently.
What if GPS data is not available for mileage?
Pool Founder uses a GPS distance fallback mechanism based on the geocoded addresses of your service locations. This provides accurate distance estimates even when real-time GPS tracking data is unavailable.
Are Stripe fees included automatically?
Yes. If you process payments through Stripe via Pool Founder, the actual processing fees are automatically pulled into your profitability calculations. No manual entry needed.
