Catch Problems Early with Automatic Anomaly Detection
Pool Founder's water chemistry system now automatically detects anomalies in your readings. When a value falls outside normal ranges or shows an unusual trend compared to recent history, the system flags it with a visual alert so you can investigate before a minor imbalance becomes a costly repair.
How Anomaly Detection Works
Every time a water chemistry reading is recorded, Pool Founder compares the values against established safe ranges and recent trends for that specific body of water. If a reading is outside the expected range (for example, pH dropping below 7.0 or chlorine spiking above 10 ppm), the reading is flagged with a visual indicator.
Anomalies are surfaced directly in the chemistry history so you do not need to manually scan numbers. The flag tells you which parameter is out of range and whether it is high or low, making it easy to decide on corrective action during the next visit.
Anomaly detection works alongside the existing AI-powered water chemistry analysis and LSI calculation. Together, they give you three layers of insight: real-time flags, trend analysis, and saturation index scoring.
Searchable Chemical Picker
Logging chemicals used during a visit is now faster with the searchable chemical picker. Start typing the name of a chemical and the list filters instantly. No more scrolling through a long dropdown to find muriatic acid or trichlor tabs.
The picker works on both the admin dashboard and the technician mobile app, so the experience is consistent whether you are entering data in the field or reviewing completions at the office.
Paginated History Cards
Chemistry history for each body of water is now displayed as paginated cards instead of an ever-growing list. Each card shows the date, all recorded parameters, any anomaly flags, and the LSI value. Swipe or click through pages to review past readings without the page slowing down as history grows.
A smooth slide animation between pages makes it easy to visually track how readings change over time. Customers with years of chemistry history will notice a significant performance improvement.

What parameters does anomaly detection check?
Anomaly detection checks all recorded water chemistry parameters including pH, free chlorine, combined chlorine, alkalinity, calcium hardness, cyanuric acid (CYA), salt, phosphates, and TDS. Each parameter has its own expected range.
Can I customize the anomaly detection thresholds?
Anomaly thresholds are currently based on industry-standard safe ranges for each parameter. Custom threshold configuration is planned for a future update.
Does anomaly detection work with the AI chemistry analysis?
Yes. Anomaly detection flags readings in real time when they are recorded. The AI chemistry analysis provides deeper trend analysis and treatment recommendations. Both features work together to give you a complete picture of water health.
